Our Ambition

A Regional Capability Architecture

FSi is developing the go-to professional development architecture for the financial services sector across Mauritius and Africa. The framework draws on global benchmarks, is validated against employer demand and is designed to cover every major domain of financial services activity.

Ten capability clusters encompass twenty-four professional pathways. Each cluster is being developed progressively, with employer co-design built in from the outset. No pathway will be launched without confirmed demand and industry endorsement.

The framework mirrors the approach of leading institutions such as IBF Singapore and the House of Training Luxembourg, adapted to the Mauritian context and extended to serve African financial markets.

Industry Aligned Africa Oriented Globally Benchmarked
Apex Professional Credential

The Chartered Financial Services Professional (CFSP) designation is being designed as FSi’s professional credential, planned for future endorsement by regional regulators and policymakers.

Why a Structured Capability Framework Matters
Employer Confidence
Employers can hire with confidence when professionals hold credentials tied to a structured, validated framework rather than isolated qualifications.
Clear Career Pathways
Professionals can see exactly where they are, where they are going and what they need to do next — reducing ambiguity and accelerating career progression.
Sector-Wide Consistency
A shared framework creates a common language for capability across institutions, regulators and employers — raising standards consistently across the sector.
Regulatory Alignment
Frameworks designed in collaboration with regulators support compliance training requirements and make it easier for institutions to demonstrate workforce competence.
Global Benchmarking
Internationally benchmarked pathways ensure financial services professionals are recognised and competitive in global financial markets, not just locally credentialled.
Institutional Credibility
Institutions that invest in structured capability frameworks signal strategic commitment to talent — strengthening their position with clients, regulators and international partners.
